Certified Grief Counselor | Chaplain | Bereavement Specialist
Rabbi Mark Nenner is an ordained rabbi, certified grief counselor, and experienced chaplain who has devoted much of his professional life to helping individuals and families navigate loss, grief, and life's most difficult transitions.
Having served for five years as a hospice chaplain and bereavement coordinator, Rabbi Nenner has accompanied individuals and families through the profound challenges of terminal illness, death, and mourning.
He is trained in Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE).
His professional experience also includes providing spiritual and emotional support in mental health settings, where he has worked with individuals facing a wide range of personal and emotional challenges.
He brings together years of practical experience, compassionate listening, and spiritual wisdom to create an environment in which people feel comfortable sharing their deepest feelings and concerns.
As a rabbi, he understands the important role that faith and spirituality can play in times of loss. He also recognizes that grief can challenge our beliefs and raise difficult questions about suffering, fairness, and the meaning of life.
His approach is compassionate, respectful, and nonjudgmental. He does not presume to have all the answers, nor does he believe that every question requires one.
Although his own spiritual foundation is rooted in Jewish tradition, Rabbi Nenner welcomes individuals of all faiths, religious traditions, and backgrounds.
For many people, faith provides an important source of comfort during difficult times. For others, the experience of loss can lead to painful questions about God, justice, suffering, and the purpose of life. Both experiences deserve understanding and respect.
Faith-based counseling means recognizing that grief often touches the deepest parts of who we are, including our values, beliefs, and sense of meaning. Spiritual guidance is available for those who seek it, but religious beliefs are never imposed.
Whether you draw strength from an established religious tradition, are struggling with your faith, or are simply searching for meaning, you will find a welcoming and respectful environment.
You do not need to share Rabbi Nenner's religious beliefs to benefit from his compassionate guidance and support.
You don't have to walk this journey alone.
